The Underwear Affair
Woodbine Park
Aug. 23
Strip down to your undies, briefs, boxers or a tracksuit if you prefer, and walk or run to help raise funds for cancer research. People of all ages and athletic abilities are encouraged to come out to Woodbine Park for the 5km walk or 10km run – the race starts at 6 p.m. Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre wants to clear the taboo attached to such cancers as ovarian, bladder, cervical, uterine and prostate. People need to start talking about cancers below the waist and this is a great way to make people talk. After the run there will be drinks, dancing and a costume contest.
