Re: 'Don't leave your leaves sitting out,' Opinion, Nov. 5

Although I fully agree with Louise Veffer that bags of yard waste do look messy sitting on boulevards for more than a week, one needs to consider that until last year homeowners could dispose of their leaves weekly during the fall. No reason was given as to why that service was changed to a bi-weekly pick-up. We still have the same amount of leaves to get rid of.

At the moment, I have already nine bags full and surely will have another nine by the time they will finally be picked up on Nov. 14.

Unless I store them in my living room, I am afraid they will have to sit on the boulevard until then.
