Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect after a man attempted to abduct a 14-year-old girl near the Victoria Park subway station on the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 28.

The girl was walking near Bryant and Denton avenues at about 3:30 p.m. when a man in a blue two-door car approached her. The girl ignored him, but the man then got out of the car and grabbed her, police said. The girl struck the man on the nose, broke free and ran to safety.

Police said the man then got back in his car and drove west on Denton, which is just northeast of Victoria Park and Danforth avenues.

The suspect is described as white, mid-30s, 175 pounds, with dark brown curly hair, and a full beard. He was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, light blue jeans and white shoes. Police said he may have an injury to his nose.

Anyone with information is asked to call 54 Division police at 416-808-5400, Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 or online at www.222tips.com.
