Why is it that some people in the Lakeshore area are obsessed with committees to over-analyze, dissect and drag out any proposal that hints of progress?

As a life long resident of the Lakeshore area, I've witnessed years of frustration as advisory committees have bickered back and forth the merits of a project, only to have it shelved when the original costs are doubled because we've sat on our hands and debated.

I'm delighted that a councillor, who the people have elected to represent them, has enough sense to say "Let's stop talking and let's start moving."

The project (ice skating trail in Colonel Sam Smith Park) will showcase and bring a much needed economic boost to the area, even though it is only the first piece of a well thought out plan.

Let's get behind the councillor and give a little support, rather than sit on the sidelines and complain because it doesn't fulfill every wish of every constituent in the city.
