It looks like the abundance of Canadian land, and high costs of incineration, make landfill the city's only alternative for our garbage.

Council recently approved the purchase of several farms around the Green Lane landfill.

Right now the landfill does the job for Toronto but it's a short-term solution. I really hope council starts working on a more effective garbage solution before our city faces a real garbage crisis.
